Support for MDM v12 deployment on WAS BASE

We are planning for an upgrade to MDM v12, later in 2023.  We as a business are moving to cloud based infrastructure and as part of that journey we are guided by corporate principles for deployment.  IBM provided containers for MDM do not meet our corporate principles.  We have been asked to consider deployment of Virtual guest hosts within a Virtual Server environment with Service Discovery and Sidecar to allow scaling of the MDM Solution.  This will enable us to run 110 MDM+WAS BASE instances to support PROD and PRE-PROD operational requirements.

At present, MDM on WAS BASE is not suported, MDM on WAS ND is supported, this does not meet our goals of Virtual Server deployment on Cloud.  MDM and WAS BASE is supported in the containerised deployment, at the moment the containerised solution does not meet the 12 factors for best practice container development and deployment, so that is not a viable solution to ING.
