IBM provides Cognos Analytics official support for AWS RDS with Content Store

The client is migrating the existing environment to cloud (AWS). However, for Cognos Analytics, the Content Store with AWS RDS connection is not officially supported by IBM. Is there any roadmap for supporting cloud database in the future?

IIDR support for Microsoft SQLServer RDS on Amazon Web Services

Currently IIDR does not support Microsoft SQL Server on AWS (Amazon Webservices) when choosing for the RDS (managed database). This due to the bulkadmin role that does not exist within RDS.
