Automation for offline backup

My client Bombardier is running CP4D (4.8.0) on ARO with NFS storage.  As per the documentation offline backup is the only way and it is a manual process. Automation is limited.  The objective is to minimize the manual processes and potential errors for the runbook concerning backup & restore.  This will also have an effect to accelerate steps during the downtime required for this activity.

Hi Michel, Thank you for your suggestion, we're following-up from the discussion we had with you and your IBM team. As discussed Cloud Pak for Data is moving away from offline backups in favour of online backups that has been introduced in 4.x. This provides a better experience without having to suspend or stop Cloud Pak for Data when performing a backup.

Currently offline backup is deprecated, so we don't have plans to add new features or enhancements. However, we did discuss the option of how this process can be automated using other tools.
