Data Replication: Q-Replication & Availability

Improvement of QREP to allow replication of data generated in the Db2 LOG by the LOAD utility with SHRLEVEL NONE LOG YES.

Need: Meet the growing demand for data replication from Banco do Brasil -Scenario:- Banco do Brasil is a large user of data replication using Qrep (IIDR) + Db2 v13 for z/OS, there are thousands of tables replicated from production environments for...

zIIP Eligible Q-APPLY

Currently the SQL Queries in QREP Apply are CPU-intensive. The CPU cost of those queries cost more than our top 5 application programs combined. We recommend to make Q APPLY Queries zIIP eligible to reduce the CPU cost for QREP APPLY.

Integrate Qreplication automation with Pacemaker

Pacemaker if can control stop/start/status q-replication , that will be a great help in making sure q-replication is up and running . Currently we have a solution to do similarly in TSA, but with TSA getting deprecated soon we would like to have t...

Add an ability to start a q subscription via MODIFY on the Capture started task

Currently Q Capture subscriptions can be interacted with either via MODIFY command invoked on a Q Capture started task, or SQL insert statements executed on table IBMQREP_SIGNAL. For many customers, executing a MODIFY command to perform an action ...

Request for supporting MQ automatic client reconnect

As we know, IBM MQ supports multi-instance configuration and automatic client reconnect since version 7.0.1. Recently we found the latest Q-Relication (11.4.0) even not support such a basic function( automatic client reconnect with multi-instance ...

To support the creation of a Db2 range-partitioned target table if the source table is a Db2 range-partitioned table and the target table does not exist when creating a Q Subscription.

According to the current design, when the target table does not exist, Q Replication can automatically create the target table based on the source table schema when creating a Q Subscription. However, Q Replication always creates a normal table, r...

For tables w/ columns that are generated by default, update the internal sequence with the next value for the column

When using Qrep for DR , we have to make the target table which has generated numeric values to be generated by default. That is understood. In a DR scenario, when we fail over from the A to the B side, we have to run a script that gets the max va...

Add ability to have multiple Q-replication targets on Db2wh

Currently on Db2wh, there is no ability to add multiple targets for Q-Replication. Please consider adding that idea as we have business case to implement such solution

The customer would like to know all the related tables associated with an uncommitted Unit of Recovery (UR).

If there is an uncommitted UR (a.k.a transaction) on the Capture side, is there a method for QREP to quickly locate the tables related to the uncommitted UR?

Possibility to execute STARTQ command with "CAPTUREUPTO" option

In high workload environments it would be very useful to let QCapture work on a STARTQ command with predefined end. Currently this can be done by a STARTQ command and after the SendQ is active a subsequent STOPQ with captureupto. But if for some re...
