In the "Availability" alerts correct the "Log Space" to operate on current space usage rather than top usage. I don't see this as an enhancement - I see this as a fix for a broken feature.

Currently when you exceed the threshold there is an alert raised. Once the usage drops the alert does not drop. The only way to 'close' the alert is to stop/start the database ('Deactivate') - ie an exclusive outage. In a production database this ...
