When managing Watson Discovery for Cloud Pak for Data, there are times when we need to restart the system. For example. hardware maintenance, planned outtage, disaster recovery, datacenter migration, etc.
In such cases, currently, there is no official way to gracefully restart Watson Discovery and CP4D. So, customer has to take the risk for their own to restart the system, which is odd, considering they bought IBM products.
Providing stop/start script even for just Watson Discovery services will save the maintenance/operation users a lot of time and effort and also it will be very grateful.
Providing an official way to restart the whole system will be even greater.
