Azure Managed Instance SQL Compatibility with SPSS

We would like to request Azure Managed Instance SQL compatibility to the SPSS product line.

We need to enable it for SPSS users to access and analyse data in the centrally available Azure Managed Instance (SQL Server) Version 12. The university-wide security requirement for accessing university data stores is via a Multi-Factor Authentication (using Azure Active Directory).

The connection to the Azure Managed Instance is set up via the ODBC Microsoft SQL Server version 17. The analysts and the data administrator were trying to set up access to Azure Managed Instance via SPSS but we were not successful. Even after installing the latest Data Access Pack and trying various drivers.

So we contacted IBM Support. As per IBM Support Case TS003694842, the only ODBC data source driver that is known to work with IBM SPSS Statistics and SQL Server 12.0.2000.8 is the one for 'SQL Server' that is in the SPSS Data Access Pack v8.x. This connection does not work, so we would like to suggest enable Azure Managed Instance SQL Server compatibility to the SPSS Statistics v26.
