Support pulling data from a Databricks source via a branded origin stage

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Johnson & Johnson, a strategic account, is asking for a branded origin stage for Databricks. Currently the only way to ingest data from Databricks is via the JDBC consumer origins, but there are limitations that are causing them issues. Full comments from the customer below:

The JDBC origin component is truncating (rounding) float values to a 4-byte float, which does not preserve the full-length digit value. The support engineer is currently investigating this matter, and we are awaiting further findings as outlined in the case.

We have multiple applications utilizing Databricks as a source, and we have successfully deployed both StreamSets Data Collector and Transformer pipelines into production. While most use cases, including full and incremental loads, are straightforward, we occasionally encounter data manipulation issues for specific requirements. The response from StreamSets support indicated that Databricks is not currently recognized as a supported database system for JDBC stages in the StreamSets Data Collector (SDC).

Could we consider including Databricks as a supported source for data ingestion using StreamSets, given that we are utilizing a JDBC connection string to connect to the workspace compute cluster. Additionally, could we establish and document official methods for connecting to Databricks? Please let us know if you need any further information.
