Implementation of MFA-Ping to access WMLA

Currently, WMLA doesn't have implementation of MFA where ping can be used to have multiple factor authentication. UI page of spectrum conductor expects the username and pwd to be entered.

Appending previous discussions to provide some details:

We are trying to implement Multi Factor Authentication for WMLA. WMLA itself doesn't support MFA so we are trying to see if can set up MFA using PING Access then redirect the traffic to WMLA dashboard page. Trying to understand what data needs to be provided from PING Access to be able to connect to WMLA dashboard.

    Hi Prabin,

Right, both ways do not work for the current WMLA design yet, and IBM team suggests you could log RFE on this feature request. FYI, here is a summary of your requirement based on my understanding.

    • After user passes PING Identity 1st factor authentication then redirected the traffic to WMLA dashboard page, it IS expected to ask user to type username/password manually on WMLA GUI page for the 2nd factor authentication.

    • In case user accesses WMLA GUI page first, it IS expected that user to be redirected to PING Identity service to go through above MFA process.

As RFE is supposed to be tracked by IBM engineering team with you directly via IBM Aha portal, I will go ahead to close support ticket later if you have no further concerns. Thanks.

    Best regards,
