Support macOS and Linux on QMF for Workstation 12

QMF for Workstation v12 and above only runs on Windows OS. Provide support for running QMF for Workstation v12 on macOS and Linux platforms as well. This allows full functionality to be provided to users on these platforms.

Who would benefit from this IDEA? All customers running macOS and Linux (including many IBM employees!)
How should it work?

QMF for Workstation should run as a native Eclipse application on macOS and Linux, similar to the way that v11 ran. QMF for Websphere does not provide the same functionality.

There are a lot of peolpe that use that tool The lack of support for MacOS and even Linux is going in a wrong way. Both operational systems are POSIX compliant and is the future. Even Windows in a short time will have to go POSIX standards to survive.

If you follow the current MS CEO, it is clear that Windows is going to that direction, its current architecture is at least 40 years old and it is monolithic. Look ahead, the current Intel desktops and laptops will disappear soon, the manufacturers will go to ARM processor based machines, and one migration like that can only be made in a transparent way if the operational system is non harware dependent, such as Linux and MasOS that has the same priciples as Linux.

If the main problem is Java from Oracle and its ridiculous licensing, why not go ahead with OpenJava that is free and compatible with Java/Oracle ? Or even use a cross-plataform, free and very powerfull Python to cosntruct the QMF Workstation.
