Attribute Hierarchies - Define at Parent levels

In Planning Analytics Workspace a feature called attribute hierarchies allows users to treat attribute values as a separate dimension in a cube view. This is nice, but at the moment this feature only works on attributes for base dimension elements. We need to be able to apply attributes at a parent level - see use case below - at the project level and see the the attribute hierarchy for the projects with specific attributes.

When attempting to create the Attribute Hierarchy in Workspace with attributes at a project level - we receive a Java run-time error and the server crashes.

IBM support indicated that the problem is with the Cube View. See ticket TS001245948.

This idea is currently not under consideration. The idea can continue to receive votes and the IBM Planning Analytics team may reevaluate the idea at a later date.

Considering using a TI process to build the hierarchy as required. The hierarchy by attribute feature in the PAW cube viewer simply calls the CreateAttributeByHierarchy TI function. It's possible to build much more complex hierarchies with your own TI code.
