MDX Subset does not update in paw

We have a model with various dynamic subsets, that uses MDX to read a text from a cell in a cube, and creates a subset based on that cell.

The subsets, in general, works without any problems.

The problem arise when we apply the subset in Planning analytics workspace.
If we add a view to a sheet in a workbook, and places the dynamic subset in context, the subset only updates when we reload the book. The dynamic subset does not update when we go to another sheet or refresh the sheet.
We have a need for dynamic subsets, applied to dimensions placed in context in a view in PAW updates when we navigate between sheets or refresh the sheet.

    Hello,

This issue is very inconvenient when you use book in PAW.

The filter widget is not refreshed when user open the book.

The default member of the widget is the member selected when the book was created.

The default member is not updated even if this member is not a part of the dynamic subset.

For me the filter widget should have the first member of the dynamic subset by default.

In my example attached, you can see that the default member of the widget is "Comptabilisé 2021" even if it's not in the dynamic subset.

Have you plan a fix for this issue ?

    Thanks a lot

Based on a quick test it is possible to have a dynamic subset reevaluate when the exploration widget is refreshed (recalculated). This recalculation can be set to happen automatically when data is entered into the cube view. If the set MDX references a cell in the view, or even another cube view used on the same sheet in the book, then it will be reevaluated as the view is refreshed. This could change the member being used to slice the view.

However, there are some limitations with this capability. Changes to the member being displayed in the selector widgets cannot trigger synchronization. Data changes in a view in one sheet will not force a refresh of views on other sheets in the same book.

I've updated the status of this request to Future consideration as we would like to address some of the limitations. However, we do not have any planned changes in this area on our immediate roadmap.

Based on the description it sounds like the issue is with Workspace not asking the TM1 database to refresh the members of a dynamic subset on specific interactions. The Planning Analytics team needs additional details about the specific interactions where a refresh of the dynamic subset is expected. Can you please detail exact steps being used to refresh the sheet in the Workspace book.
