Scrolling efficiencies and freeze panes functionality

Issue One

Selector widgets and dimension pickers are at top of tab. We have a number of visualisations that user can interact with that extend the size of a standard screen. Every time they want to change a widget they have to scroll to top, make the change and then scroll down.

Issue Two

If a visualisation extends the screen i.e. a cube view with lots of rows, if the visualisation does not have scroll bars because it is of a size to show all the rows then when the user scrolls when the mouse is over the visualisation it should scroll the screen. This is how all modern browsers work, in PAW user has to move the mouse off the visualisation to get screen to scroll.

Issue Three

When a visualisation is clicked on the screen automatically scrolls making the visualistion move to the top of the screen. Screen should not move when an object is selected. This feature automatically scrolls objects that are above the visualisation off the screen.

Changed status to Not under consideration.

The behaviour is being described is by design. The scroll gesture on some visualizations is used to support zooming. Clicking on a visualization will scroll the book so that visualization is fully displayed if possible. We assume that a user clicking on a visualization wants to interact with that visualization.

We do intend to add an optional property to make all widgets (including visualizations) not selectable.

We are also considering options to pull buttons from the widget toolbars onto the book so that it could be overlayed over top of the visualization. However, this is not a part of the 2021 Planning Analytics roadmap.
