Automatic backup for PAW assets/ Manage PAW snapshots programatically

Currently, the data tier can be backed up by launching .bat scripts. (to create a zip)

PAW reports are totally managed in the docker content store and we have no programmatic access to the creation of Snapshots.

Snapshots can only be managed through the GUI of the lifecycle management.


In real case scenario:

We had lost a lot of PAW reports because of a human error.

Since the reports were not manually backed up through the lifecycle management and because we were on Cloud (no access on PAW content store and multi-tenant platform), the support cannot restore the lost assets.

    I believe that auto copy archiving of PAW assets is a priority

    This should be on the roadmap as it is a major risk, alongside the LCM between environments - not helpful landing in Personal folders then Save as all books one by one

    The Planning Analytic team acknowledges the requirement for automation in Planning Analytics Workspace. While this is not a part of our 2021 roadmap we will revisit enhancements specific to automation at a later date. Updates status to future consideration.
