I'm closing this out as we have made signifigant improvements to dimension and cube import functionality in current versions of Planning Analytics Workspace. Please examine the current functionality and suggest specific improvements as needed.
I've updated this idea to future consideration. As part of the Planning Analytics 2022 roadmap will we update the design of the guided import for both cubes and dimensions. Note that we do already have an option that allows data to be imported to an existing cube.
