With TM1 URL API, in addition to specifying the workbook(excel file name), it would be very beneficial to specify the sheet name that the URL should direct to.
This feature could be used in various cases where there are multiple sheets in a book: navigation between reports, drill throughs, personal URLs directing to most relevant sheet and etc.
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?|
How should it work?
Let say, there is an MS Excel workbook named 'book'. 'book' consists of multiple sheets such as 'sheet1', 'sheet2', 'sheet3' and so on. We uploaded this file to TM1web to be used as a websheet. The default sheet for this workbook is, let say, 'sheet1'.
When I reference to 'book' within URL API, 'sheet1' is opened(as it is the default sheet of 'book'). You cannot create a URL that directs you to 'sheet2'.
Once this new sheet parameter is added, it will be possible to direct users to specific sheets instead of directing them to default sheet of the target workbook.
|Priority Justification||This will make TM1Web URL API feature a lot more useful.|
