Retention of Formatting in Planning Analytics for Excel Viewer

When using Planning Analytics our Developers create standard views for users so that they can easily see important information in the system.

In the RDP Perspectives Cube Viewer you can add formatting to these views e.g #,###;(#,###) which when the view is saved is retained, and can be seen by other RDP users.

This formatting is also retained when using exploration, or quick reports in Planning Analytics for excel. However when you use "Open in Viewer" or open the view in a PAW workbook, the formatting does not exist, and therefore the numbers appear in sequencial format e.g #####.## and when numbers get large or small (fractions) they cannot be read.

This CAN be changed on a row by row basis, but when you exit viewer, the formatting is not retained.

This means that users who use the views, and choose to use Viewer, have to format the reports which can be 100 rows by 20 columns or more each time, and our user base is c. 100 users. This creates wastage and rework.

Can the formatting not be retained on a view across all technologies using the view ? This way a standard "look and feel" of a view would be available to all, regardless of what they use.
