Dimension Editor Index Availability

In order to convert from Perspectives to PAW for Development, the Dimension Editor should have the ability to display element indexes and to update them easily. In Perspectives, you can easily see the Index in the dimension editor through the Properties window regardless of the display order. You can then easily drag and drop elements to a new location and use the Set Dimension Order button. PAW seems to default to displaying elements in Dim Editor by Hierarchy Descending. It would be hepful to be able to display them by Index order and then drag and drop, or cut and paste to change element Index. Many of our rules are based off of element index so we need a way to create and maintain this easily.

Updated status to 'Future consideration'. We are planning on adding an option to display the indexes in the Workspace hierarchy editor. Sort options are also being planned.

However, the indexes of members in a hierarchy are relatively unimportant. It's important to understand the index numbers are automatically updated as members are moved in the dimension. The index value is mostly informational and might help understand the order of processing when using rule and TI functions that reference an index value. The sort options will make it easier to find members and update hierarchies in the hierarchy editor.
