Relative Aliases for Forecasting

We are using the Basline Forecast to produce a 17 week production forecast. Every 3 weeks we re-forecast the 17 week period after reloading historical actuals.

To minimize the maintenance each time we run the forecast, we have aliases on our week dimension with one week having an alias of "Forecast Start Week" and one week having the alias of "Forecast End Week". However, it seems the forecast definition is not using the aliases; so we have to reselect the time each time we re-run it.

Would like the ability to either:

  • Have the baseline forecast definite recognize aliases on the forecast time periods

  • OR

  • Have the ability to update and run the Forecast through TI or an API endpoint with the ability to pass in necessary forecasting parameters
