PAW - add authentication support by username/password to git repository

Hi,

Currently, only authentication by SSH key is possible for pushing/getting TM1 objects inside a git repository. An authentication by username/password should be available too. Some companies, inside Github, disable the possibility to use SSH key for accessing repositories for confidentiality reason. Any person having the SSH key can access the git respository wether they have the right or not. Couple username/password is more appropriate for managing this kind of access and confidentiality. For this reason, my company block access to repository by SSH key because it's too easy to distribute SSH key between users. So, today, it's impossible to us to benefit to this important feature to follow developper commits inside our critical applications.

This choice between SSH Key or by username/password is already available in TM1 REST API (Examples inside your documentation, actions GitInit, GitUninit, GitStatus, GitPush, GitPull and GitPlans). So we need to have same possibilities and choice inside PAW.

Regards.

Just for clarify, In TM1 REST API Git operations, when you use Username/Password fields, it's already the GitHub Token taken in consideration and not the user's password.

    Hi,

For token. As you say, Github push for using Token authentication now.

    Regards.

Username / password or Token ? We should go for token as github is removing username/password for some operations.
