Checkboxes in PAW

Hi,

I miss checkboxes in PAW. Checkboxes are nothing more than boolean buttons, but can be used in a variety of ways to allow the end user to interact with the report.

I often encounter the following scenarios in which I would like to see checkboxes:

1. activating zero suppression via an element directly in the report

2. perhaps the checkbox could also be used to dynamically choose between two MDX queries. This would make reports much more flexible without end users having to customize the sets themselves. Especially as a checkbox in the report is directly visible and easy to use, even for untrained users.

3. display/hide certain elements in the report

By missing, I just meant that it would be great to have checkboxes available in PAW. I expressed that in a misleading way, sorry for that.

If there is the possibility to activate zero suppression in the canvas in the future, that would be very helpful.

That would cover my biggest use case for checkboxes.

I don't currently have a concrete, strong use case for the other items.

Can you please clarify your comment around missing checkboxes? As far as I'm aware we never have an experience with checkboxes in Workspace?

I agree that we should have an option to enable zero suppression in reports. However, we already have a plan to eventually support moving some buttons from the widget toolbar to the canvas of the book. This will likely be implemented without major changes to the button.

Items 2 and 3 are not something we would consider without a very strong use case.
