PAW: Dynamic Subset in row in a cube view

Currently, a dynamic subset is not possible in the cube view in the row. I want to customize a dynamic subset currency depending on an attribute of another dimension in the row.

If PAW wants to compete with SAC, then this function is extremely important, as a dynamic subset in the row can only be implemented in Excel. Excel websheets are not visually optimal and not state of the art. With this function, the Cube Viewer can be used much more and is more flexible than it is currently.

    Can you provide more details about your use case. It is possible to have an expression (MDX) based subset on any axis of the cube viewer including the row axis. The MDX expression for the set can reference other the dimensions and data in the current view using the Filter function and currentmember property of MDX.


    Is this requirement about to making it easier to build complex view MDX expressions that reference other dimensions and data? We do have feature work planned in 2024 that will support data based filtering in the cube viewer.

    If the problem is specific to a limitation in MDX or a limitation of how the PAW cube viewer uses view MDX, can you provide a simplified example that we could reproduce?
