PAW Plans: Individual submission of users of the same PAW user group

Right now, after one member of a group submits a task within a Plan in PAW, the task is completed for the entire group and all other team members can no longer submit their part of the task. However, this might not reflect the reality of a planning process in an organization with multi-level approval steps and larger teams.

Let's assume the hierarchical structure of a planning team, which consists of two levels of responsibility. The lowest level are account managers, who are responsible for certain customers, and the second level are team mangers, who are responsible for a team of account managers. The top level of responsibility is the sales director. It is important to note that the number of account managers per team manager might be quite high (20-50 account managers per team).

Now the problem with the current state: If all account managers are in one PAW user group, then after the first submission of one of these account managers, the task is submitted for all other account managers and is therefore no longer visible for them. Although it would be desirable to require all account managers to submit their work individually before proceeding with the next task in the planning process.

The current solution to this problem is to set up a separate user group for each account manager, which proves to be cumbersome and time-consuming both during initial setup and ongoing maintenance, as numerous user groups need to be managed and updated.

The expected result should be that each sales manager can accept or reject the work of each account manager reporting to him individually, in the best case without excessive user group creation.

I've moved this idea to future consideration state. We are considering support for individual users as contributors and reviews in Plans and Applications. This would allow Plan and Application owners to add users that are not already in a Workspace group.
