Automation of Optim LOAD generator

Currently, we are using the Optim LOAD panel to generate load based on Optim extract files, to create samples of the database.

Each time, we have to browse a sequence of panels to generate the different load jobs . The final output is a JCL that perform the load. (7 MIGRATION / 3 LOAD / Load process table map)

We have tried to avoid losing time browsing the different panels and automate the process using the final JCL. However, it contains DD and other cards generated specifically for the current match table, that can't be reused the same way for other load processes.

The idea would be to have a batch process taking the matching tables in input, and this program will generate the LOAD JCL as the panel would have done it (with optional inputs such as load options). It will allow to be automated through an automation tool such as OPC, avoiding accessing the LOAD panels.


Currently :

Optim main panel -> MIGRATION -> LOAD panel -> Match tables panel -> … -> PERFORM -> Generated LOAD JCL

Main Idea :
Batch using Optim LOAD Program & sysin1 Matching tables & sysin2 Options (load options) -> Generated LOAD JCL.


The idea could be reused for INSERT or other process.
