Asset Performance & Reliability Management is just on the verge of next massive transformation. Industry 4.0, Edge Computing, Hybrid Cloud and Hybrid Analytics are changing the age old reliability approach. Asset survivability is not the sole target anymore. Asset "Service Level" management is the new focus. Impact on the operation could be detrimental when multiple connected assets start deviating from their designed service levels. How should it work?
1) S-DAM's hybrid analytics algorithm successfully identified several drilling issues. It is now working in other asset intensive industries such as Energy and Utilities. We call it Serviceability Drive Asset Management (S-DAM).
2) Benefits is significant. One of our clients, Neste had excessive coke formation in a diesel manufacturing production line. The line was shut down for nearly a month, causing ~€28Mn loss. S-DAM successfully identified a number of interrelated issues due to service level deviation of connected asset system. Another client is OMV who are piloting several use cases to benefit from improving the % of quality product volume. 3rd in line is Algoma Steel. S-DAM could help them avoid 'Sticker Defects' in high quality steels.
3) Currently we have a very small team. However the market interest is growing very fast. We need to build capability very quickly.
