Request to make DATE2 standardization and comparison function work with FPF2

We are implementing Hybrid MDM for mastering customer demographics in virtual MDM and eventually storing it in Physical hub supplementing the persisted view with the customer consent information. Currently, we have the virtual MDM hub in live production. In the PERSON.alg algorithm of virtual MDM, we had impletemented FPF 2 and recently we came across a scenario where firstname is missing (XNM is configured for firstName only), gender is different, DoB is different and SSN is missing, we have the below entry in the mpi_wgt4dim.unl file but still the FPF2 filter is not triggered. We are using DATE2 standardization function for DoB comparison.

We checked this in IBM developers Work site and we found that FPF2 works on edit distance while DATE2 does not. As a result, all scenarios where day and month has edit distance 1 or more, for those scenarios FPF2 is not getting triggered. As suggested, to resolve this DATE1 standardization and DATE comparison function with DOB YYYY-MM-DD format has to be used in it's place. But we can't go back to DATE1 standardization function/DATE Comparison function as the alogrithm is already in use in a live environment.

So we shall like to request for an enhancement that can make DATE2 work with FPF2.
