@OFFSET is useful to create feature variables such as
- the ratio or difference between the data and the data before and after
- ranking or CUMSUM
But There are issues.
- Not support SQL pushback
- Difficult concept for grouping
I request for two new nodes with SQL pushback
1. OFFSET node
- reference the record before and after the record
- It can translate to LAG function as SQL
2. OLAP nodes
- ranking, sums
- It can translate to OLAP (or Window) functions as SQL
OLAP specification https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ja/SSEPGG_11.5.0/com.ibm.db2.luw.sql.ref.doc/doc/r0023461.html
How should it work?
@OFFSET itself is too flexible to pushback. So I propose new two nodes
2) Mesurable benefit:
Performance especially for big IOT data
a. Just use @OFFSET function. But it is limited for big data.
b. Write SQL query in db import noode. But it is not readable.
