DataStage S3 connector should be enhanced to support multiprotocol S3 bucket connection.

Currently all S3 connectors provided in DataStage only support nave S3 but not multiprotocol S3. For use cases where user can't map the NAS like region limitation or OCP4 restriction not allowing NAS mount, NAS storage could be configured as S3 bucket to be accessed from any where. But IBM S3 connector is calling Multipart methods from AWS Java SDK. Those multipart methods are not supported with multiprotocol S3, only on native S3. Those DataStage connector should be enhanced to support multiprotocol S3. It will also help users to adopt CP4D to utilize S3 connection to process data coming from anywhere in OCP4 cluster.

Based on this statement "Those multipart methods are not supported with multiprotocol S3, only on native S3. Those DataStage connector should be enhanced to support multiprotocol S3", it appears that the storage does not fully support S3 Protocol. Could you please elaborate what you meant by S3 Connector enhanced to support multiprotocol S3?

The Generic S3 Connector is primarily implemented to work with storage or data sources that are compliant with the S3 protocol. Hence, as long as the storage is S3 compliant and supports the S3 protocol fully, then the connector can work with it.
Also, please provide more details on the NAS storage that is being used. Is it ONTAP ? If so, what is the version ?

Based on the documentation here, latest versions of the ONTAP support S3 multipartupload options. Please confirm if we are missing something in understanding the requirement here.
