Support for Oracle Advanced Security Option and Infosphere Information Server

This request is to establish a clear definition on what is supported with Oracle Advanced Security Option (OAS) and InfoSphere Information Server. Network level encryption is now available to all Oracle environments to use freely to have secure communication from any client to the database. We have migrated to Oracle 12c and have defaulted to use network encryption for every installation but when trying to change the repository from Oracle 11g to 12c with network encryption, IIS failed to function even with updated policy jar files needed for AES256. The IBM support site indicates that OAS is supported but after 35 days of troubleshooting, it was confirmed that it was not supported. As a result of this, we are now forced to segragate the database environments for IIS due to it's inability to work with encryped communication. Ideally i would like to have full support with OAS.

Hi there.. I haven't heard any comments posted for this request..

We are in similar situation where we need to establish TLS1.2 connectivity with Oracle v19c for ISv11.7.1.1. From PMR we were asked to have native network encryption with similar updated policy.jar file which isn't standard from my org. Its has to be TLS1.2. hence looking for an update if we can have latest security enhancement with metadata repository
