IBM DataStage Snowflake Connector is lacking feature to support OAuth.
From Security perspective and risk management department:
DTCC as an organization objective all connections to snowflake is - "to leverage OAuth token feature"
We need IBM to work with Snowflake product engineering which is where the hold up currently is from our recent call.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||DTCC|
How should it work?
IBM engineer Sheetal has been explained by DTCC and Snowflake RSA Dan.
But Sheetal needs more understanding on how DataStage-OAuth works, and she will need to contact Snowflake product mgmt Naveen to get more streamlined efforts and if this feature from DataStage is et al feasible to implement.
|Priority Justification||Orgn direction and security objective is aligned to use OAuth. IBM product usage will be questioned moving forward if this feature is not available at the earliest.|
