Amazon S3 Connector Merged

Problem Statement:

As part of IIS 11.7.1 SP2 implementation activities, we tried setting up Amazon S3 connector for us to be able to scan the data files and import them into IGC. During the setup process and while working on the access requirements, we learnt that it currently supports only “AmazonS3ReadOnlyAccess” and not “restricted policy access” if defined. While this serves as a workaround for us during the jumpstart period, our Admin team raised concerns on the open access which per Architecture/Information Security will need to be locked down. This will eventually get escalated to our leadership and Cloud Security Governance/Compliance group for an approval on the exception.
