In current IAS version apdr suspend/resume operation requires apstop/start to ensure integrity of the replication.
But this is cumbersome in cases of emergency (eg. due to network/switches congestion), where the Customer is enforced to suspend replication - the apstop/start means that the DB will not be available for 30 mins and this is against their SLAs for system availability
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||IAS AFM Replication Users|
How should it work?
IBM must provide an emergency procedure where apdr suspend/resume operation doesnot requires apstop/start.
