All users which are granted permissions for insert/modify data into tables are also
allowed to use their own password for column level data encryption. But not all user
are their whole lifetime in the company and move.
What happened with their data without knowing the passwords.
There must be an password cleanup option for encrypted rows where the password
is lost, or the owner of the password doesnt work in the company.
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||DBA, DBSO|
How should it work?
I would like to have a SQL statement
cleanup passwords on table ( column ) for DBSO or Informix
select decrypt ( column, "ignore/reset password" ) from table
for DBSO or Informix
