Some customers are constrained and need to continue to use Informix 32-bit CSDK drivers. Their applications currently use the Informix 32-bit libraries & there are often build constraints to moving to a 64-bit CSDK.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||This would also help customers migration to the compatible IDS server v14.10. Currently they are restricted to using Informix CSDK v4.10.|
How should it work?
Release a 32-bit Informix CSDK v4.50 as well as the 64-bit version.
|Priority Justification||I believe a number of customers would like access to a informix v4.50 CSDK. Example Boeing in the uk are currently restricted to using the older CSDK v4.10 for some of their existing Informix apps written in Uniface & Visual C++ 32-bit, running on Windows Server 2016..|
