Prevent ER sync job of deleting records from child table on target

After talk with lab and support group the follwoing became clear:
Under certain circumstances ER sync job can delete data from tables even if these tables are not part of the ER system.
When a replicated table (target) has an unique index on a non-primary key field and this field is different on source and target, the sync job will first delete the row, and in a later phase of the sync job the row will be re-inserted. On itself this is acceptable behaviour, but when on the target the replicated table is the master table for one or more child tables, the delete of the master record cannot be done. IBM has solved this issue by deleting the rows from the child table(s) so that the delete on the master is working. This results in permanently deleted child records. In our case this resulted in nearly empty child tables. While the IBM software nowhere mentions the deletion of data.
Lab does not see this as a bug, we think that every case that could lead to dataloss should be prevented.
