There are multiple data source connection in DV for the same data source (HANA in this case) with different user authentication details. Connection names are not defined in the list of views that are pulled from data source connections and hence, it is difficult to correlate the HANA view with their respective connection. Search field in the results section is sluggish in response because there are many connections and pulls meta data from all connections. Additionally, the results cannot be filtered by data source connection name. There is no tool tip or returned view names are not fully displayed.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||This will enable all the user who have access DV.|
How should it work?
Add a filter for the connection in the search results and
Display connection name for each view before virtualizing
Allow users to virtualize the data for the connection they own.
|Priority Justification||It is hard to find the virtualize results as there are duplicate from multiple connections exists for the same source system.|
