We have a requirement to restrict access to IMS Direct only. Users should not have access to IMS Online.
In DVM when an SQL is not eligible for IMS Direct DVM directs the SQL to IMS Online despite IMS Online not being enabled in DVM. There is no option to disable SQL queries going to IMS DBCTL.
As a result, in order to avoid users getting security violations, user would need access to IMS DBCTL. This is a concern.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||All DVM customers who do not enable IMS DBCTL|
How should it work?
Provide an option to prevent/disable SQL queries from going to IMS DBCTL if IMS DBCTL is not enabled.
If IMS DBCTL is not enabled then do not revert to IMS DBCTL if the SQL is not eligible for IMS Direct.
|Priority Justification||This is a security concern. To avoid security violations users need access to IMS DBCTL which they should not have access to.|
