Track chagnes - PTF report column 'APPLY DATE' requires to be the SMPE Apply date

DSM V 2.1.5.3 - hosted on Linux

Repository DB on DB2 Z/OS

In

Administer/Configurations/Track Changes,   Object type 'PTF'  under the 'Discovery Objects' section lists the PTFS that were Baseline or new or deleted with the 'APPLY DATE' column in the last.  We expected that date value in this column would be the Date on which the corresponding PTF was applied (SMPE Apply) on to our SMPE environment.  We have now investigated and found that this is actually the APAR closure date (or) the date the PTF was made available. We may not want this data in the 'APPLY DATE' column.

Our requirement will be that the APPLY DATE needs to be either the:

SMPE Apply date  or the date on which the corresponding PTF was installed/copied over on to the DB2 Subsystem for which the report is for.

I open this RFE as suggested by Jason Sizto. Thank you

Dear Siva, Thank you for submitting this Aha! Idea. We have reviewed this idea and determined this particular functionality is not in plan at this time. We will keep this idea in our backlog and revisit in the future if this becomes an area of priority.

    Sincerely,

    The Db2 for z/OS Team

    I  forgot to add this:

PTF collection report also lists PTFS that have actually been superceded.  Therefore we think we would need the collection report to list the PTFs that are superceded with.

Currently there are a number of PTFS listed in every collection schedule whereas those ptfs do not exist in our system.  This may be misleading particularly during problem solving situations.   I would like this requirement also be addressed in this RFE. Thank you
