We want to be able to follow up on the status of the recovery: Which jobs have run, which have completed, which have failed. This is essential when handling a major recovery.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||All users who perform mass recovery of Db2 objects|
|Priority Justification||A main driver for us to use Recovery Expert is to have an overview in a disaster / mass recovery situation.|
|Client Name||JN Data|
How should it work?
1)At present it is possible to see a status from the panel from where the recovery group is submitted, but this is lost when exiting the panels. It should be possible to restart it, and It should be possible to see the status from other TSO sessions, not just the one who submitted the recovery group.
We would also like more information on the panels. This info will be detailed in other ideas.
2)This is crucial to ensure we address any problems, and to provide a status to our customers in a situation where mass recovery is required.
3) We don't have a work-around. This is exactly one of the reasons we are considering implementing Recovery Expert - to help us maintain an overview in a mass recovery situatuion.
