At California Depart of Technology (CDT), we use a second party software to write out and store joblog sysout. This software is called SAR.

When we were creating a Log Based Recovery in the URL GUI of Recovery Expert we ran into an ARYX093S error. Working with IBM we found that Recovery Expert went into dataset contention with SAR. This caused Recovery Expert to time out and throw the ARYX093S error.

When we removed the SAR code from Recovery Expert Jobcard everything worked as expected.

We have a lot of customer at CDT that use SAR to offload spool data for storage. What we propose is an enhancement to allow Recovery Expert to use second part software to offload spooled output for future troubleshooting and storage.
