Db2 Admin Tool batch option for disable/enable incremental updates RFE 125740

Description

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=125740

Our DBA team uses the Db2 Admin Tool to manage schema changes. They create batch jobs which contain the full flow of changes to be made. The batch job is then run at a later scheduled date appropriate for the change. However, when a table is in an accelerator, the Db2 Admin Tool does not allow the 'disable/enable incremental updates' command to be added to a batch job. The tool just submits the command interactively. This causes the DBAs to manage their changes to accelerated tables outside of the Db2 Admin Tool.

Use Case

Adding a column to an accelerated table requires:
- disable acceleration for the table
- disable incremental update for the table
- alter add the column to the table
- enable incremental update for the table
- enable acceleration for the table

Currently 2 of those 5 steps cannot be added to a batch flow using the Db2 Admin Tool so the DBAs choose not to use the tool at all.
