DB2 Administration Tool enhancement for SQL, DDL, DML syntax checking

Add enhancement to syntax check SQL, DDL, DML before execution.  Recently attended presentation of Db2 DevOps Experience for z/OS and it has a 'Smart Editor'  which performed these checks.  I asked about it and was told it is using macros from the DB2 SDSNMACS dataset.  I reached out to Robert Catterall about information on this.  His response, "Smart Editor piece of Db2 DevOps Experience for z/OS uses not only macros in the Db2 SDSNMACS data set, but also BNF (i.e., Backus-Naur form) files in the SDSNSAMP data set that have information on the grammar for Db2 DML, DDL and DCL statements. The BNF files in SDSNSAMP and the macros in SDSNMACS that the Smart Editor utilizes appear to be intended for use by Db2 for z/OS tools vendors, and it looks as though there is no documentation to support utilization of these macros and files by Db2 customer organizations."
This is not an issue with the Tool when it generates statements.  Many times we have to code statements free form when creating new objects, or we gen the DDL from the tool and have to make necessary changes and syntax mistakes occur.  We are a large shop with many DB2's and the migration of object changes is tightly coupled with program changes, and much of this is automated.  Failures do occur due to syntax errors which extends the tight timeline of migrations.
