There is currently no supported process that will allow a user to cleanup all or selected rows in the Symptoms, Actions, and Utility History tables in the DB2 Autonomics Director for z/OS database DYXDB. These tables are populated by the DB2 Autonomics framework as autonomic work is generated and/or executed.
Over time, these tables can easily have thousands of rows inserted into them. It is thus desirable to be able to prune them periodically.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||DBA|
How should it work?
Most likely, a batch utility program could be provided for the user to run on a periodic basis to delete old/aged records from the DYXDB tables. The utility would delete records based on a date or an age.
|Priority Justification||Need ability to manage these tables in a supported manner.|
