To cancel a DB2 thread user has to drill down upto the member level from TEP as this provides take action Cancel_command. However TEP users wanted to cancel particular thread via take action from DB2Plex Datasharing Group level. Since At Data Sharing Group level take action doesn't have Cancel_command, they can't do it. As recommended by IBM from the case #TS004333535, this option is an enhancement to Omegamon XE for DB2 Performance Expert.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||Ease of cancelling a Thread from TEP at Datasharing Group level by the use of Take-action cancel_command|
How should it work?
DB2Plex Datasharing Group Thread Activity workspace should include Cancel_command so that from the Datasharing Group level user can select specific thread cancellation via take action.
|Priority Justification||As of now users has to drill down at the member level. Its difficult to remember how to reach up to the member level Thread activity workspace for a perticular thread to be cancelled.|
