DB2_GENERATED_ROWID not treated correctly RFE 45902

https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=45902

in tables with LOBs DB2 generates an additional column DB2_GENERATED_ROWID which is placed at the end of the table. If you add some columns by ALTER TABLE ADD COLUMN these new columns are placed behind this DB2_GENERATED_ROWID-column. But if this table is copied / recreated the new table has another structure because column DB2_GENERATED_ROWID ist placed at the end of the new table and not before ALTERed columns. This ist a problem when we try to clone this table with DB2-Cloning-Tool because it requires identical structures. Could you please check out a way of creating a 100%-identical table e.g. changing AdminTools GEN-Command? PS: A similar question is already mentioned in RFE38943 for AdminTool.

Db2 Cloning Tool has ALTER-FOR-XML-LOB-COLUMNS parameter in PROCESS-DDL keyword.  ALTER-FOR-XML-LOB-COLUMNS(Y) causes DDL generation to use one or more ALTER commands in the target DDL when one (or more) of the following Db2-generated column types is not at the physical end of the source table row:

    • DB2_GENERATED_DOCID_FOR_XML
    • DB2_GENERATED_ROWID_FOR_LOBSnn
