Allow for Altering the Partitioning Columns Through Panels

When altering the columns involved in partitioning a table, several steps must be done which introduces complexity and potential for errors. This is the current provided solution:

Do a GEN on the table and save the generated DDL. Adjust the partitioning columns in the saved GEN, and then use that as your source (DDL file) in Object Compare. Object compare will drop the table, as expected (key here is that it will handle data unloads/loads and recreating all related objects that were dropped)

i. In Object Compare, specify:

1. The altered DDL as your source using the DDL file option

2. The table as your target using the table from Db2 catalog

3. No mask

4. No ignore

5. Generate your compare!

Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. While we view all the enhancement requests we receive as valuable and we would like to implement all of them, in an effort to have maximum transparency we are closing the ones that don’t currently appear on our two year product roadmap. This is not to say that these enhancements may not still be implemented at some point in the future, as we constantly evaluate our requirements on the basis of customer demand and technical impact and try to deliver maximum value to our customers. We appreciate your feedback and would be happy to discuss your enhancement requests further.
