IBM support team.
The main idea is that when we send backups using ET (UNLOAD) of our databases (DASHDB Cloud) to be able to obtain the generated log of how many records have been exported and this log will be stored in a local directory.
We made reference to this issue in a service ticket with the IBM support team and their response was that currently this option is not possible.
CS1869102 ( For IDB Client)
We tried the following option to save the log but it did not work.
db2 "CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE '/PATH_LOCAL/file_exported.csv' USING (DELIMITER ',' REMOTESOURCE YES CRINSTRING YES ESCAPECHAR '\' LOGDIR '/PATH_LOCAL/') AS SELECT * FROM SCHEMA.TABLE;"
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||As a client we want to have a record of how many records are exported by each table using ET, in this way we can have more control over our backups.|
How should it work?
We believe that using the following parameter and after what is required on your side to be able to use this parameter to obtain the log in a local directory
Option : LOGDIR / ERROR_LOG
|Priority Justification||It is required to have evidence of how many records are being exported, because periodically we perform random backup restore tests and we need to know how many records were exported and in this way validate the imported records.|
