After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming deliverable because it is not consistent with the product architecture and our strategy for future deliverables. Consequently, we will not be implementing this Idea.
While end user who uses the hidden diagnose type option under IBM/Db2 guidance is well behaved, externalizing this hidden option can lead to potential undetected data and index mismatch and is a dangerous practice for the average user. There is no plan to introduce this functionality to the general public.
We appreciate your input to the Db2 Utilities Suite for z/OS development team. We also hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 Utilities Suite for z/OS.
