IDAA behavior when replicated table is suspended

In our environment we replicate tables and we then expect the IDAA copy to be kept in sync with the DB2 table (within reason). If a table gets 'suspended' for whatever the reason, the data on that table begins to grow stale. Queries submitted against those accelerated tables will report on ever more out of date information. Wait For Replication returns normal indication even when replication is 'suspended'.

Integrated Synchronization is is a built-in product feature and provides another approach besides Change Data Capture. It is available on both deployment options for the Accelerator, so on IBM Z as well as IBM Integrated Analytics System (IIAS). You can find more details regarding this function here: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS4LQ8_7.5.0/com.ibm.datatools.aqt.doc/installmanual/topics/tp_idaa_inst_incr_updt_isync.html
Please have a look at the pre-req as it requires Db2 12 with FL500 and some other PTFs.
Further, Integrated Synchronization is our strategic technique as it offers a lot of benefits compared to Change Data Capture for our Accelerator Use case. We are also working on a Redpaper, which will include more details, use cases and best practises.

Is integrated Synchronization the same as IIAS? If it is, I find that to be very disturbing. IDAA is now being supported/promoted on divergent platforms and supporting a solution on one platform but not the other represents an investment and a platform preference. I would absolutely encourage you to reconsider this approach. On the other hand, if Integrated Synchronization doesn't mean IIAS, then I would like more information on Integrated Synchronization.

Release 7.5.2 and 7.5.3 delivered this function for Replication via Integrated Synchronization. Please read here: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/733587#whatsnew752

However, we not intend to deliver these enhancements also for Replication based on Change Data Capture (CDC).
