Native SQL Stored Procedure Maintenance Is Invalidating Dependent Packages

For DB2 V10 and V11.

When any of following 3 things are done against a NSP (Native SQL Stored Procedure)
1. Alter to Activate a version
2. Bind Deploy Action(Replace)
3. Alter Regenerate
All the packages dependent on the NSP are being invalidated and this is causing application outages/availabilty issues and is severely limiting the NSP maintenance window.

DB2 needs to be changed to stop invalidating dependent packages.

    Dear Stephen,

    Thank you for submitting this Db2 for z/OS enhancement request. After giving the request a comprehensive review, we have determined that we cannot include it as a candidate in an upcoming product deliverable because it is not consistent with the product direction. Development determined Alter activate version means to use the new version and they do not plan to look up catalog during each routine execution to find out which version is active. Consequently, we will not be implementing this request.

    We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team. We also hope that you will continue to submit ideas for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
